Joplin chamber seeks award nominations

Posted online
The Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce now is accepting nominations for its 2006 Small Business of the Year awards.

Awards will be presented to three community businesses: one that employs one to 10 workers, one that employs 11 to 50 workers and one not-for-profit business.

To submit a nomination, print a form from the chamber’s Web site, www.joplincc.com, and mail it to 320 E. Fourth St., Joplin, MO, 64801. Entries must be postmarked no later than Jan. 18. Forms also are available for pick-up at the chamber office.

All nominees must be in good standing with the chamber and must have been members of the chamber for two years.

Finalists will be chosen based on their contributions to the community, business or management philosophy, response to challenges, innovative products or services, and employee involvement or recognition.

A complete list of qualified businesses is available on the chamber’s Web site.

The awards will be presented April 27 at the chamber’s annual banquet.[[In-content Ad]]
