Johnson & Johnson's strong sales of cancer drugs and products in its baby care business helped push third-quarter earnings beyond analysts' expectations.
The company reported adjusted earnings per share of $2.05, 2 cents above forecasts. Revenue was $20.3 billion, beating the $20.05 billion analysts expected.
Third-quarter net income came to $3.9 billion, compared with $3.8 billion a year earlier.
