Marion is member and head of John Marion Construction LLC, a custom home-building company.
“In 1994, at age 26, I set a goal to be a successful home builder with an excellent reputation,” he said. “Through hard work, persistence and continual learning, I have met my goal.”
Marion said there have been many people who have supported him in his career, most importantly, his family – his wife, Pam, and sons Tyler, Joshua and Colton.
“I feel as though my family is my biggest accomplishment,” Marion said. “Teaching our boys about citizenship, reverence, family values, loyalty, trust and many of life’s other attributes is both challenging and rewarding.”
Professionally, Marion is eyeing a challenging goal.
“I would like to develop a parcel of land into a residential neighborhood,” he said. “Building a home for a customer is very fulfilling, but I want to take it to the next logical step. I would like to create the ideal neighborhood that our customers would be proud to call home.”
Marion is looking forward to other new challenges that will come naturally to the construction business.
“I see myself leading our company into a new era of custom home building and development,” he said. “As our population increases and the demographics shift, new needs will surface in our industry, and I look forward to tackling these issues.”
Marion is active in the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, the Sequiota Elementary PTA, the Mighty Mite youth football program and Developmental Center of the Ozarks. He’s a member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield, and is involved with HBA at the state and national levels.
