The Lion’s Heart Invitational will be held Tuesday and Wednesday and benefits the Ozark Mountain Family YMCA and the John Daly Foundation, according to a news release.
Nearly 40 celebrities are scheduled to attend, including actors Anthony Anderson, Chris McDonald and Luke Wilson, Art Still of the Kansas City Chiefs, Geoff Bodine of NASCAR, Johnny Fairplay of “Survivor,” and Olympic figure skater and professional boxer Tonya Harding.
The invitational kicks off at 9 a.m. Tuesday with Daly and Wilson playing practice rounds, filmed by The Golf Channel for an upcoming special. The day continues with an autograph party at 4 p.m. and a ticketed VIP Celebrity Pairings Party & Auction at 6 p.m.
Starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, more than 30 teams of professional and amateur golfers will compete. Also that day, the Branson Airport, under construction in Branson Creek, will hold a longest-drive contest.
The event concludes Wednesday with a 7 p.m. concert at the airport. Performers will include Samantha Cole, Steve Azar, Bob Anderson, Johnny Lee, Moe Bandy and members of musical groups including Hootie & the Blowfish, Loverboy, KISS, Trick Pony and the Beaver Brown Band, according to the release.
