The Missouri Job Center and Ozark Region Workforce Development Board tomorrow are scheduled to host a hiring event for more than 40 employers.

The businesses include Bass Pro Shops, O’Reilly Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: ORLY), Loren Cook Co., Pilot Travel Centers LLC, Wil Fischer Distributing Co., 3M, Penmac Staffing Services Inc., TCSI-TransLand, Mercy Hospital Springfield and American National, according to information provided by Megan Short, city of Springfield communications coordinator. Short was unsure how many people each company seeks to hire.

“They usually post the positions they are focusing on or struggling with,” she said via email.

Combined, the companies list more than 140 types of positions.

The hiring event is scheduled 9 a.m.-noon at the Missouri Job Center, 2900 E. Sunshine St.

Last week, the job center held hiring fairs for Reckitt Benckiser Group (LON: RB) and Chase Card Services, a subsidiary of JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM).

Reckitt Benckiser interviewed at least 150 people, though Short was unsure how many the company was hiring. Chase is seeking 200 hires to join its local call center workforce of 1,400.
