J&J, Colgate ordered to pay $10M in suit

Johnson & Johnson and Colgate-Palmolive were ordered to pay nearly $10 million to a California woman.

Patricia Schmitz alleged in a lawsuit the companies' talc-based body powders contributed to her terminal mesothelioma diagnosis.

Avon Products also was found liable for $2.4 million in damages, though it was not named as a defendant in the case.
