JetBlue to launch hostile takeover attempt for Spirit

JetBlue Airways Corp. announced plans to launch a hostile takeover attempt for Spirit Airlines Inc.

Spirit previously rejected a $3.6 billion offer from JetBlue.

The company has sought to move forward with an existing deal from Frontier Airlines.
