New York-based JetBlue Airways has raised baggage fees to an industry high of $30 for the first checked piece of luggage.
Rivals American, Delta and United all charge $25 for the first checked bag.
"We routinely review and adjust our ancillary pricing to ensure a healthy business so we can continue offering the best customer experience of any U.S. airline," said JetBlue spokesman Doug Mcgraw.
