A plane flown by low-cost carrier Jeju Air skidded on the runway and crashed into a wall, causing an explosion at Muan International Airport in South Korea over the weekend.
Two crew members were rescued alive, but the remaining 179 people onboard have been confirmed dead.
The New York Times reports the crash is the worst aviation disaster involving a South Korean airline in nearly three decades and the worst airline incident ever on South Korean soil.
