Blue Origin, the private space firm owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, has beat Elon Musk's SpaceX in the race to land reusable rockets. The rockets could drastically reduce space-flight costs.
On Monday, the company launched a ship 329,839 feet into outer space. It then landed upright upon its return to Earth.
SpaceX has managed to get its own reusable booster close to its barge platform, but hasn't nailed the landing yet.
