Jay-Z has officially become the first billionaire rapper, according to Forbes.
Among his holdings include a $70 million stake in Uber, $50 million in real estate and his music catalog, ownership of streaming service Tidal and a $70 million art collection.
Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, grew up in a Brooklyn housing project. He rose to fame in 1996 with his debut album "Reasonable Doubt."
