Jared Fogle sentenced to nearly 16 years in jail

Disgraced former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle was sentenced to nearly 16 years in federal prison Thursday after pleading guilty to charges of child pornography and crossing state lines to pay for sex with minors.

The 38-year-old will be eligible for parole in 2029.

The judge also imposed a $175,000 fine, adding to the $1.4 million in restitution to 14 victims Fogle already has agreed to pay.
