Japanese beer exports to South Korea fall drastically

Amid a boycott, exports of Japanese beer to South Korea fell 99.9% in September compared with a year earlier.

Japan's finance ministry announced $5,400 worth of beer was shipped to South Korea last month. That's down from $7.2 million in the same month of 2018.

The boycott involves several South Korean court rulings calling on Japanese firms to pay compensation for the use of forced labor in World War II.
