Japan raids Mitsubishi over mileage-cheating scandal

Japanese transport ministry officials raided the Tokyo headquarters of scandal-ridden Mitsubishi Motors Corp.

The company is accused of cheating on mileage ratings on more models than earlier reported.

The government claims eight more models were part of the scheme, including an electric car.

Tokyo-based Mitsubishi Motors is compensating owners with cash rebates. Sales of the eight models have been halted in Japan.
