The center will have a six-lane lap pool, a therapy pool, complete locker room facilities, aerobic, free weights and circuit training equipment, an indoor running track, a basketball court, racquetball courts, a commissary/juice/snack bar and a children's gym. A combination of structural systems were used, including a dynamic two-story space with open-barrel, vaulted, glue-laminated trusses and roof structure.
The elevated floor structure is composite steel and concrete with a combination braced and moment frame lateral system. The front of the building is accentuated by a free-standing brick colonnade framed with structural steel, concrete masonry and a brick veneer.
