Some of America's biggest business leaders took to social media and issued their own statements in response to the unofficial presidential election results. Mostly, they pointed to the end of divisiveness and praised the character of the next commander-in-chief — while acknowledging the struggles ahead.
One who hasn't spoken out publicly yet is Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. But the company's chief operating officer, Sheryl Sandberg, posted on Facebook about Vice President-elect Kamara Harris:
"There are times when America takes a big step toward creating a government that reflects the diverse country we are," Sandberg wrote. "Today is one of those days."
