The co-owner of Branson-based Jackson & Appleton took home the top honor during the American Advertising Federation of the Ozarks' 34th annual Addy Awards in Springfield.
Robin Jackson, who co-founded the firm in 2008 with Nicholas Appleton, received the lifetime achievement Silver Medalist Award during the Feb. 23 AAF ceremony. Selected by AAF board members, the award recognizes contributions to the adverting industry, according to a news release.
Other special recognition awards:
- Mosaic Award, Ozarks Public Broadcasting;
- Anita Ludwig Award, Celeste Skidmore of ADsmith Marketing and Advertising;
- Homer Tindle Award, Christa Clemenson of KOLR and KOZL;
- Ad Professional of the Year, Brett Piper of KOLR and KOZL;
- Judge's Choice, CoxHealth;
- Best in Show-Print and Best in Show-Digital, Noble Associates Inc.; and
- Best in Show-Broadcast, Journal Broadcast Group.
Jackson & Appleton received its most Gold awards to date, with six, and also received six Silver awards, according to the release.
The AAF of the Ozarks is paying for all Gold winners to advance to the district level.
Other Gold winners were Opfer Communications; Medical Consulting Group; Noble; The Medical Package; Drury University; Cox Medical Center Branson; Parallax Studio; ADsmith; Paul Speed Photography; News-Leader Media Group; CoxHealth; and Journal Broadcast Group.
