Jack Ma, founder and chairman of Chinese retail giant Alibaba, announced in an interview with Chinese news site Xinhua the company is no longer planning to create 1 million U.S. jobs.

Ma made the job creation announcement during a meeting with Donald Trump in January 2017 before he was inaugurated.
