Monett technology firm Jack Henry & Associates (Nasdaq: JKHY) has been selected by Lowell, Mass.-based LowellBank to provide systemwide automation services.

LowellBank, which has more than $172 million in assets, will use Jack Henry's SilverLake service, according to a news release.

"We are strategically focused on being accessible and responsive to our customers' banking needs, and providing superior customer service is only possible at a community-centered bank backed by technologically advanced products and services," said Jeff Guimond, senior vice president of bank operations for LowellBank, in the release. "We wanted one company that could support the vast majority of our technology requirements, and a partner with the proven ability to meet its customers' service-related expectations."

In addition to SilverLake, LowellBank will implement a number of other Jack Henry solutions, including those for mobile banking, online bill pay and financial management, and fraud detection and prevention, the release said.

Jack Henry, which constructs integrated computer systems and processes ATM and debit card transactions for bank and credit unions, ended its fiscal 2012 June 30 with $155 million earnings and 11,900 customers, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

As of 11:30 a.m., the company's shares were trading at $37.58, compared to a 52-week range of $27.33 to $38.22.
