Jack Henry & Associates Inc. (Nasdaq: JKHY) announced a C-suite hire in sales and marketing.
Chris King is joining the Monett-based financial software firm as chief sales and marketing officer, according to a news release. He succeeds Steve Tomson, who retired.
"Chris brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our corporate leadership team, and we are looking forward to him driving our sales and marketing efforts to new heights," Jack Henry President and CEO David Foss said in the release. "As we welcome Chris to the team, I also want to thank Steve for his more than 15 years of outstanding service to our company."
King brings 31 years of financial service industry experience, most recently serving as vice president of NCR Corp.'s global financial sales channel. He also previously worked at Diebold Nixdorf and Regions Bank in Birmingham, Alabama.
The chief sales and marketing role is a “named executive officer” position at Jack Henry, meaning it's one of the top-paid jobs at the company with compensation reported in a proxy filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. For the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2020, Tomson had total compensation of $1.1 million, according to past reporting.
In its fiscal third quarter that ended March 31, Jack Henry reported $71.4 million in profits on revenue of $433.8 million.
JKHY shares were trading at $164.08 as of 9:10 a.m., compared with a 52-week range of $141.65 to $200.98 per share.
