Jack Henry & Associates Inc. (Nasdaq: JKHY) boosted net income 7.5 percent to $59 million in the second quarter of its fiscal 2015 year, up from $54.9 million a year earlier.
The Monett-based banking software firm bumped diluted share earnings by 8 cents to 72 cents, according to a news release.
“We are pleased to deliver another quarter with record revenue and earnings,” CEO Jack Prim said in the release.
Revenue in the quarter rose 6 percent to $324.2 million from $304.9 million a year earlier.
The company’s support and service line - its largest source of revenue - increased 9 percent to $299.6 million from $275.1 million. However, license revenue dropped 26 percent to $10.7 million and hardware sales fell 9 percent to $13.9 million, according to the release.
Sales costs increased 8 percent to $184.4 million from $170.5 million a year earlier.
As of Dec. 31, Jack Henry held assets of $1.6 billion and claimed approximately 11,300 customers, according to the release.
JKHY shares were trading at $62 as of 9:26 a.m., near its 52-week high of $65.07 set Jan. 23. The company’s 52-week low is $51.86.
