Hewlett Computer Services Inc. of Cleburne, Texas, a company providing its customers with numerous service bureau options within an hour of Dallas, was purchased July 1 through a cash transaction of $2.25 million by Jack Henry & Associates, a computer software vendor for community banks throughout the U.S., according to a Jack Henry & Associates press release.
Jack Henry & Associates Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Michael E. Henry said in the release that the company is very pleased that Hewlett Computer Services has joined its corporate family.
HCS concentrates on item processing and thus especially enhances the company's ability to serve its targeted banks in central Texas through its service bureaus.
Henry added that Justin Hewlett, owner and operator of HCS and its entire staff will continue with Jack Henry & Associates.
Former HCS customers will come to appreciate the same quality service and support JHA's customers receive daily, he said.
Jack Henry & Associates has more than 1,515 customers across the country, specializing in integrated computer systems and ATM networking materials for banks and various financial institutions.
