As part a ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning for Heer’s Luxury Living LLC, a national health care information technology firm announced plans to occupy commercial space on the first floor.
IntrinsiQ LLC, a division of
Fortune 16 company AmerisourceBergen Corp. (NYSE: ABC), is scheduled to move in around Nov. 1 to 17,700 square feet at the long-vacant Heer’s building, said Doug Fiester, senior director of IntrinsiQ.
“Today is a milestone for IntrinsiQ,” Fiester said during the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “We chose this area because we wanted to be part of its inspiring revival.”
Fiester said IntrinsiQ would consolidate its existing Springfield office - on Enterprise Avenue north of Sunshine Street - as well as facilities in New Jersey, Massachusetts and Colorado into the downtown building. He said 70 Springfield employees would relocate to the new space leased from Dalmark Development Group LLC for undisclosed terms. He did not know the number of employees coming from the other three offices, and said an undisclosed number of jobs would be created for the downtown facility, as well.
IntrinsiQ, which was purchased for $35 million by AmerisourceBergen in 2011, provides clinical information systems, including electronic health records and analytic services, for health care facilities, largely related to medical oncology, according to
IntrinsiQ.com.
At the $15.8 million Heer’s building, 12 tenants moved in this weekend, said Dalmark Development Group President Jim Nichols.
