Slone Architects Inc. designed the structure, with engineering by ESC Inc. Engineers and Architects. The 9,640-square-foot facility will provide residential care for up to 20 children ages 12 and younger and provide education and services for families in crisis. Isabel’s House Executive Director Gretchen Gambon said the crisis nursery is a signature project of Junior League of Springfield. The O’Reilly family donated $500,000 to the approximately $1.3 million crisis nursery, and selected the name Isabel in honor of their grandmother. Crisis nursery partners are Burrell Behavioral Health, Community Partnership of the Ozarks, CoxHealth, Missouri State University, St. John’s Health System and United Way of the Ozarks. Gambon said that crews are now finishing the inside of Isabel’s House, which she expects to open in early June. [[In-content Ad]]
