One Hallmark company makes greeting cards from its Kansas City headquarters. Another Hallmark company makes rings in New Jersey.
A federal judge has been asked to rule on a $20 million trademark infringement lawsuit between the companies of similar names. Ring-maker Hallmark Industries Inc. filed the suit against Hallmark Licensing LLC, a subsidiary of Hallmark Cards.
Specifically, they’re fighting of the ownership of the terms “Hallmark Rings” and “Hallmark Diamonds.”
