Is a market crash coming? The dental indicator says yes

A company that develops software for health care practices states it has found a correlation between people keeping up with their dental care and the health of the U.S. economy.
 
According to Bloomberg Businessweek, aggregated data collected by Sikka Software from more than 12,000 dental practices show a correlation between how often people skip routine dental care, cancel appointments and decline suggested treatments with dips in the economy.
 
Data show the current fall-off mirrors the declines in dental care that occurred from 2007 to 2009 and that gains made during the economic recovery have disappeared, indicating Americans' unease with the pace of the recovery.
