Whirlpool dryers are in hot water in the United Kingdom. Company officials admitted there could be as many as 800,000 faulty tumble-dryers in homes around the UK, after the government made claims that some 500,000 dryers should be recalled for fire hazards.
UK officials cite at least 750 Whirlpool dryer fires over an 11-year period, according to the BBC.
