Iran drops plan to buy Airbus superjumbo

State-owned Iran Air has decided not to order the twin-deck A380 aircraft from Airbus.

That pushes the value of a recently announced contract to $10 billion from $25 billion.

Airbus is expected to deliver seven or eight planes to Iran in 2017.
