EFCO manufactures commercial architectural aluminum windows, curtain walls and storefront and entrance systems. It was acquired for an undisclosed amount by Pella, Iowa-based Pella, which manufactures windows and doors.
Both EFCO and Pella are privately held companies.
Pella will retain EFCO’s 1,600 employees in Monett and continue to sell products under the EFCO brand, according to a Pella news release.
“The addition of EFCO people, processes and products to the Pella system, along with the support of their independent representatives, will provide even more innovative options for commercial customers seeking quality solutions to meet their fenestration needs,” said Pella President and CEO Mel Haught in the news release.
EFCO was established in 1953. Pella is 82 years old and has more than 9,000 employees at facilities in Pella, Carroll, Shenandoah, Sioux Center and Story City, Iowa; Columbia, S.C.; Fairfield, Ohio; Gettysburg, Pa.; Macomb, Ill.; Murray, Ky.; Portland, Ore.; Tucson, Ariz.; and Wylie, Texas.
