New Mountain Capital increased its bid for St. Louis-based infrastructure pipeline rehabilitation company Aegion Corp. (Nasdaq: AEGN).
The increased bid came after Apollo Global Management offered a competing unsolicited bid for the company.
Aegion last month agreed to be taken private in the original deal with New Mountain. The purchase offer now has increased to $995 million from $963 million.
