This intersection was redesigned to help meet Ozark's emerging infrastructure needs. The east leg of Highway NN was realigned to the north to create a typical four-legged intersection with Highway J and old U.S. Highway 65. Right- and left-turn lanes with traffic signals and intersection lighting were added. Other work included regrading the ditches on the east leg of Highway NN to keep drainage within right-of-way and mitigate standing water at the intersection of Highway NN and Turnberry Boulevard. A southbound left-turn lane was added to Turnberry Boulevard for increased safety of residents of Turnberry Estates. Brad Tate, Springfield office manager for Affinis, led the project team, and Ron Effland served as MoDOT's project manager.
