Posted online
At an emergency closed meeting Dec. 13, the Greene County Commission unanimously voted to appoint Justin Hill as interim Greene County treasurer, following John Hoffman's resignation Dec. 10.

Hill, 30, has nine years experience in the Greene County Auditor's Office, most recently serving as chief deputy auditor and has worked with the treasurer's office, according to a news release.

"We really appreciate that Justin is willing to serve in this capacity,” Greene County Presiding Commissioner Dave Coonrod, said in the release.

Hill will serve in the interim until Gov. Jay Nixon appoints a permanent treasurer.

Greene County Auditor Cindy Stein will hold Hill's chief deputy auditor position open during his stint as interim treasurer, the release said.[[In-content Ad]]
