Intel to sell memory chip business for $9B

Intel reached a deal to sell part of its memory chip business for $9 billion.

South Korea-based SK Hynix would become the world's second-biggest flash memory chipmaker through the acquisition of Intel's NAND memory chip business.

NAND flash memory products are used in such devices as smartphones and tablets.
