Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan has been called to resign by President Donald Trump.
Trump said on Truth Social that Tan "is highly conflicted and must resign, immediately. There is no other solution to this problem."
Trump's comments follow questions from Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Arkansas, asking about Tan’s ties to Chinese companies. Cotton also referenced a past criminal case involving Cadence Design, which Tan led as CEO until 2021.
Intel officials said the company, directors and Tan are “deeply committed to advancing U.S. national and economic security interests.”
