Springfield-based Integrity Home Care  has sold a majority ownership stake.

Bayada Home Health, an international home health care provider with more than 350 offices in 22 states and eight countries, was the buyer. The financial terms were undisclosed in a news release.

"The founders and leaders of Integrity have enjoyed a close relationship with Bayada leadership for over a decade, during which we've formed a bond and shared best practices on multiple levels," said Greg Horton, Integrity founder and CEO, in the release.

Bayada is working with Integrity over the next 10-12 months to integrate its operating model, systems and support services.

"We are committed to a smooth transition," Integrity officials said in the release. "This integration will not impact our day-to-day operations, and our partners can continue to rely on the high-quality care they have come to know from Integrity."

Reached via email, Horton said Integrity would keep its name intact and continue to operate as an independent home health and hospice company.

"I am especially pleased to share that all of our executives and employees are remaining on board to provide continuity in leadership and patient care, as well as creating capacity for growth as we provide additional services in our community through this partnership," he said.

Last year, Springfield Business Journal reported Integrity had a workforce of 1,100 focused on in-home health for the needs of various individuals, including older adults. The company's website lists more than 20 corporate staff members, including Horton and President Cliff Stepp.

Integrity was founded in 1999, according to past reporting. The company in 2020 reported $57 million in revenue, according to SBJ list research.

Bayada has around 26,000 employees and 36,000 average weekly clients, according to its website.
