Insurer to sell portion of business for $2B

Insurer Hartford Financial Services Group agreed to sell its run-off life and annuity business for $2.05 billion.

The buyer of Talcott Resolution is an investor group that includes Cornell Capital and Atlas Merchant Capital.

Hartford's shares were up by more than 4 percent on the news.
