Lang, 57, was an agent with American Family Insurance and worked in the industry for 21 years. She served as president of the Springfield Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and as an adviser to the Baker Chair of Insurance at Missouri State University.
In September, American Family Insurance named Lang as an All American Agent, and in 2003 as a Missouri Midland Central Health Line Leader. She also was honored as one of Springfield Business Journal’s Most Influential Women in Business in 2002.
A visitation is tentatively scheduled for 2–3 p.m. Saturday at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, 441 W. Battlefield. A memorial service will follow.
