Last edited 9 a.m., Sept. 11, 2012BKD LLP has been listed for the second year in a row on Inside Public Accounting's Best of the Best Firms list.
The Springfield firm - which is led by Ted Dickman with 244 partners and 1,847 staff members - posted fiscal 2012 revenues of $401.8 million, a 2.8 percent increase compared to revenues of $390.7 million in fiscal 2011. BKD's fiscal years begin June 1.
In terms of both revenues and the number of partners and employees, BKD is the largest firm on the
annual list, which is not ranked.
"Back-to-back recognition on IPA’s Best of the Best list in 2011 and 2012 affirms our belief that BKD is a premier firm that delivers on its promise of unmatched client service," BKD CEO Ted Dickman said in a news release.
Of the 50 firms on the 2012 list, 29 made the list in the prior year. The list rates firms based on more than 50 criteria.
“Best of the Best firms represent the top firms in the nation. Each firm demonstrates the right combination of vision, planning and execution to deliver superior performance,” said Michael Platt, principal of IPA publisher the Platt Group, in the release.
In the
2012 IPA 100 - a separate report released in August that ranks accounting firms based on net revenue - BKD placed tenth, its same ranking on the 2011 list.
