More than 200 attended the May 30 opening ceremony at the Roy D. Blunt Jordan Valley Innovation Center. The center began its transformation from the former Missouri Farmers Association mill complex into a center for material science, biotechnology and nanotechnology research in November 2005.
Top left, southwest Missouri Congressman Roy Blunt speaks to the crowd gathered at the ceremony. The facility was named after Blunt due to his work in procuring federal funding for the project.
