Inglewood approves Kroenke stadium plan

Posted online
The city council in Inglewood, Calif., on Tuesday unanimously approved a redevelopment plan that includes Stan Kroenke's proposal for a $2 billion, 80,000-seat NFL stadium in the Los Angeles suburb.

The owner of the St. Louis Rams, Kroenke is a partner in the development firm proposing a stadium as part of a larger redevelopment of a former Hollywood Park horse track about 10 miles from downtown Los Angeles, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

In Missouri, officials are working to keep the Rams.

"As always, our focus is 100 percent committed to keeping the Rams here in their home of St. Louis and ensuring that we remain an NFL city for generations to come. We continue to make excellent progress on our NFL riverfront stadium project in St. Louis and continue to meet regularly with the NFL and the Rams. Be assured, we will have more progress to share in the weeks ahead," said Dave Peacock, who is leading the charge to build an NFL stadium in St. Louis.
