Missouri’s municipal elections take place April 7.
In this interview conducted by resident volunteers with Informed Voter Coalition, you’ll hear from candidates seeking a position representing District 1 on the Nixa City Council. They include Nathaniel Daily, Robert Jones and Jay Ortiz.
Nathaniel Daily is a children’s pastor and veteran and was a Nixa city employee for 12 years.
Robert Jones is a member of the Wicklow Homeowner’s Association Board.
Jay Ortiz was appointed to Nixa City Council in August 2025 to fill a vacancy. He is owner of Eagle Pride Automotive LLC and a member of the Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
The Informed Voter Coalition is a collaboration of 13 nonpartisan organizations, including Springfield Business Journal, with a mission to educate voters about the candidates they’ll see on their ballots.
