The Partnership Industrial Center Administrative Council is the governing body of PIC West. It is comprised of representatives from the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, the Springfield Business and Development Corporation, the city of Springfield, Greene County, City Utilities and the Springfield-Branson Regional Airport Board.
Here are a few of the nuts and bolts of the new center:
There are 407 total acres and about 380 total developable acres.
The Springfield Business and Development Corporation purchased 242 acres of land for $4.08 million from two private owners (130 acres were owned by Nixa's Plotner family and 112 acres were owned by Jack Rainey and family).
More than 200 acres were dedicated to the park by the airport.
The purchase price is $35,000 per acre for non-rail-served property and $40,000 per acre for rail-served property (acreage south of Division Street).
Streets, storm water detention and other infrastructure is built by the city and City Utilities.
The park's protective covenants include set back requirements, greenspace and design standards and minimum square footage requirements.
Covenants are enforced by the PIC Administrative Council.
