Dozens of jobs are expected to be created in southwest Missouri as part of an expansion by Rossville, Indiana-based foundation repair and basement waterproofing company Acculevel Inc.
Acculevel is entering Missouri with a planned $8.7 million investment and the creation of 123 jobs, according to a news release issued late last week by the state Department of Economic Development.
The jobs comprise 41 roles each in Sarcoxie, a southwest Missouri city located just under 50 miles west of Springfield in Jasper County; Kennett, which is in southeast Missouri; and Smithville, near Kansas City. Acculevel intends to wrap construction on facilities in Sarcoxie and Kennett by the end of 2026, followed shortly afterward by Smithville.
“Our decision to expand into Missouri reflects both confidence in these communities and our commitment to contributing to their future,” said Andy Beery, founder and CEO of Acculevel, in the release. “By creating good-paying jobs, supporting local suppliers and delivering unmatched foundation repair expertise, we’re investing in the economic strength and stability of the region."
The Missouri facilities are designed to expand Acculevel's service footprint in the greater Midwest. The company's website lists existing service areas in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio.
“Acculevel’s decision to expand here is a commitment to Sarcoxie’s people and the potential of our region,” said Amy Kauffman, executive director of the MOKAN Partnership economic development organization, in the release. “These new, high-paying jobs will boost economic growth and deliver meaningful, long-term benefits to our local communities.”
For the expansion, Acculevel is utilizing the Missouri Works program, which awards withholdings or tax credits in exchange for job creation.
