Index: Cardinals have most loyal fans in baseball

New York-based Brand Keys Inc. presented the results of its annual survey of the most loyal fans in Major League Baseball. St. Louis Cardinals’ fans came out on top, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The company surveyed 250 residents in each of the MLB’s 30 markets and then used criteria that included entertainment value, history and tradition to rank the teams.

Rounding out the top five: San Francisco Giants, No. 2; Los Angeles Dodgers, No. 3; Detroit Tigers, No. 4; and Washington Nationals, No. 5. Houston Astros had the least to cheer about with the team ranked at the bottom of the list.
