An Independence woman has pleaded guilty to stealing more than $500,000 from her Blue Springs employer.
Tammy Myers, 50, admitted to running a scheme to defraud Builders Overhead Door Service Inc. She had worked for the company as head of accounting.
Myers' plea agreement comes with an order of restitution to the tune of $521,996. A money judgment of $429,025 to the government also is included in the plea agreement.
