Incredible Pizza moving Tulsa operations to Springfield

Posted online
Incredible Pizza Co. Inc. is moving its Tulsa, Okla., operations office to Springfield to bring its corporate employees under one roof.

The move should be complete by Sept. 1, according to Vice President of Marketing Chris Brewer.

The food-and-games company's corporate headquarters are in Springfield, but the operational offices have been in Tulsa, near the Incredible Pizza training store. The main reason for the move, according to CEO Rick Barsness, was a need for better communication as the company continues to expand.

"We've missed some opportunities for valuable face-to-face communication by having our team split into two cities," Barsness said in a news release. "This will lead to a more efficient corporate operation."

Incredible Pizza was named the fastest-growing company in southwest Missouri at Springfield Business Journal's Dynamic Dozen awards in March. Company revenues in 2008 were $82.6 million, up 29 percent from $64 million in 2007.

Seven Tulsa employees, including President and co-founder Larry Abbe and Vice President of Operations Rick Pogue, are moving to Incredible Pizza's South Campbell Avenue office, according to Brewer. A new position in franchise sales also has been created at the local office because of the move; no jobs are being eliminated.[[In-content Ad]]
