The gift will be directed toward the center’s programs and a capital campaign that will fund renovation of the center’s new office at 1342 E. Primrose. Its Springfield location currently is at 1923 S. National Ave., Suite C.
The project cost is $1.8 million, and the center has raised about 40 percent of its goal, according to center Community Relations Coordinator Marisa DeClue. The center is targeting fall for its relocation, DeClue said.
In the last eight years, the center has grown from serving 300 people to more than 20,000 annually, according to a news release.
