The International Monetary Fund issued an updated projection on global economic growth.
The world economy is expected to expand by 6% in 2021, up from a previous forecast of 5.5% in January. That would be the fastest growth in IMF records dating back to 1980.
IMF officials predict the U.S. economy will expand by 6.4% this year.
