Ill. treasurer sues Sprint

Illinois Treasurer Michael Frerichs filed suit against telecommunications behemoth Sprint over rebates for state residents.

The lawsuit alleges Sprint has failed to pay nearly 32,000 Illinois residents an estimated $2.7 million in rebates they earned after buying a product or service from Sprint.

According to the suit, Sprint and its clearinghouse partner Young America Corp. kept the money.
