Ikea to raise its minimum hourly wage

Ikea plans to raise its average hourly minimum wage at its 38 U.S. stores.

The company said it would not set an across-the-board minium wage, but rather would evaluate each store based on the cost of living in the area.

According to the St. Louis Business Journal, the minimum wage in Pittsburgh will be $8.69 an hour, while in Woodbridge, Virginia, it will be $13.22 an hour, for example.
